BRENT MATHER \ PRINCIPAL
As firm Principal, Brent provides direct client support on every project, coordinating the needs of each funding partner to produce a single cohesive project. He works with communities to develop housing, revitalize existing sites, strengthen small businesses, and adapt existing structures to new sustainable uses. Brent facilitated the funding to revitalize 15 Litch applications since 2012 and has been instrumental with seven Stellar Grant finalists.
Brent gives back to several historic preservation, arts, and other non-profit organizations. His community efforts have won numerous distinctions including: IN Main Street Project of the Year (2009), DNR Historical Preservationist, and a participant in the 1%, a pro bono design program of public architecture.
Brent co-founded R&B in 2012. Prior to that he worked in Architecture Firms in Indiana for 14 years, Woolen Molzan and Partners Architects, Browning Day Mullins Dierdorf, Mather Design, and Brenner Design Incorporated. He has a BS in Architecture from Univ. of Illinois.
Lynn Molzan, AIA \ Associate Principal
Lynn has been active in the American Institute of Architects in the areas of public awareness, education and finance. He has served as president of AIA- Indiana and AIA- Indianapolis and was a member of the Institute’s national Board of Directors representing the East Central States Region. He has served as Executive Director of the Indiana Architectural Foundation, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of architectural education, public awareness, and preservation.
JERFFERY COWSERT \ Associate Principal
As a former small business owner, Jeff has a clear understanding of the importance of listening and understanding to find out what a client needs in a product. He also has years of technical education and construction experience. The combination of these abilities guide him through the process of planning a complex project, coordinating the client’s needs and creating the detailed documents that are passed on to contractors for construction. Jeff’s ingenuity and unyielding approach to outcomes helps him deliver design solutions to clients that have measurable results. Jeff has known Principal Brent Mather since their days together at the University of Illinois.
Matt Williams \ Executive Office Manager
Born and raised in Northwest Indiana; Matt moved to Indy Indianapolis in 2015 to expand opportunities within the communities. Matt’s 19 years of management experience keeps R&B running smoothly and is often one of the first faces and most memorable for his passion for people.
Austin Walton \ Marketing INtern
Austin is currently a Marketing/Business student at Ivy Tech working with RB Architects to gain experience in the marketing field. Austin has a deep love for architecture as a result of his foreign exchange year in Germany, where he fell in love with beautiful architecture. Austin’s interest lie in helping businesses market themselves to consumers, teaching German, gardening, reading, and cooking (specifically Asian cuisine).
Spencer Jewula \ Architectural Intern
Spencer went to Ivy Tech and got his associates in Design Technology. Spencer got into architecture through high school by hand drafting. He enjoys learning about architecture and learning more in the field during a site visit.
Andrew Estabrook / Architectural Intern
Andy has been with R&B since 2016, starting out as an intern while finishing his undergraduate degree. Since graduating from Southern Illinois University with a B.S. in Architecture specializing in Construction Management he has been working full time with R&B. His previous experience in construction helps him understand the design process to create better final product for our clients.
Mike Fleck / Architectural Intern
Michael is currently in his 5th year Ball State University, where he will receive a Bachelors of Architecture with a minor in Construction Management. Apart from the office, he is a member of The Trinity Irish Dance Company, a non-profit professional dance troupe based out of Chicago. Michael loves traveling, being active outdoors, listening to music, and has an affinity for street art.
Christian Schmoll \ Architectural Intern
Christian is an intern from Ball State University and currently interning as a part of his 5 year B Arch. Christian is from Indianapolis and grew to enjoin architecture in high school while taking drafting courses. Christian is also working closely with Brent and Jeff to gain experience to become a registered architect. Christian works on rendering and drafting up plans. Christian has experience in hand drafting, computer drafting, and 3D modeling. Christian works mainly in 3D models and drafts the detains to create realistic renders in order for the clients to get a better feel of the spaces and overall building.
